Everytime I bake it is just a bloody mess!!
We have all heard the tales of dangerous items found in those bite size candy bars handed out on all Hallows eve. These stories are reproduced each year to warn and precaution kids and adults to always be wary of what could be hidden inside their snack. (Hold that thought I'll return to it in a few days)
However have you heard of Joe Methany? I will spare many of the finer details of his gruesome and canabilistic crimes. He was reported to have unalived more than 10 people but none of the bodies were actually located.
Ya gotta hand it to this imposing 6ft 1", 450 lb serial killer for his creative ingenuity on how to dispose of his victims. Even tho employed at a Maryland pallet plant, Methany was an weekend entrepreneur of a road side BBQ Pit stand where he made home made meat patties to die for. Literally! His unsuspecting customers had been reported to be consuming human flesh in the custom made burgers for 18 months. Unknowingly becoming the ideal hiding spot for his deviant crimes.
His last known attempt of a victim was able to escape and put a stop to his spree and saga in history. When Methany was arrested he showed little remorse as he gave his full confession including the quote
"No one ever complained about my burgers. No one seemed to even notice the extra special ingredients"
Well...When I bake I always put heart into it, but assure you all my ingredients come from a grocery store.

Fun Fact! The FDA has thresholds of allowable glass in your food. Anything under 1"/2.5cm is considered safe to consume and ingest. Contrary to popular CSI style shows ground glass is not a deadly poison that would overcome a victim. It would simply pass as any other sharp object manipulated by the teeth and stomach acids such as bones, plastics, woods ect.
Other allowable thresholds for foreign objects are things like Cocoa Beans can have an acceptable amount of Rat/mouse feces of up to 10mgs per lb. 400 beans per 1lb and 40 of those beans to make one average size bar.In theory and commercial manufacturing standards that means that each chocolate bar can contain up to 1 mg of poop.
