Take a little bite outta crime.

This is but a nibble of a hot take, on the practice of human trophy collecting. The acquisition of human body parts, with the intent to possibly demonstrate dominance over the deceased, such as bone taking or forming necklaces of severed ears, is an age-old practice. It can be done to prove one's body count in battle or in murder.

Psychopathic serial murderers' collection of their victims' body parts have also been described as a form of trophy-taking... except what they do with them and on what level is often still a mystery to many.

Human Trophy and Bone collectors are not a new deal in the world of serial offenders, however, some are just odd.

We have Stanley Dean Baker, The Yellowstone Killer, who kept victims' finger bones, Charles Albright, dubbed the Eyeball killer, who would remove and keep his victim's eyeballs in jars to admire their beauty. Dennis Nilson, The Kindly Killer wasn't as picky and kept toes, noses, random body parts. What about the Tooth Fairy?

Ismo Junni, was a convicted serial arsonist and murderer who was arrested in 1990. That's not really far-fetched for someone with a dark path to get caught now is it? Really it’s the how. There isn't a lot of data and background on the world wide web about Ismo Junni, so let's fill in some blanks.

His first murder was of his wife, drown, attempted to be set on fire, and beaten in a bathtub, all her teeth removed. Ruled an “Accident” Next up #2 was His good friend Mattie Haapanen was found within burnt rubble of his summer cabin, his bottom dental prosthetic removed and his top teeth ripped out. Ruled as “Possible foul play” #3 Pauli Sironen, also found in a burnt down residence….all teeth removed.

Ismo actually kept all the teeth on him, in his Wallet. He went about everyday life with little bits of human remains right there in his pocket. As the story goes he was in a shop to buy lunch and took out his wallet and within his coins were the teeth, one of them falling out and rolling behind the shopkeeper's counter. The Shopkeeper noticed the tooth was a large human incisor with fresh meat still attached. Authorities were called and the rest, well the tooth was stranger than fiction

Extra Fact: Did you know Ted Bundy left a bite mark on his victim, Lisa Levy. That is what ideally closed the book on his conviction. It is also the most tattooed item in the weird obessions of his sick and twisted fandom. So far on record 38 women have reported to have the replica bite mark on their buttocks.
