Hungry?

There’s something truly unsettling about the idea of a parasite, a living thing that can invade your body and feed off you.

Of all the parasites that could haunt your nightmares, tapeworms might be the worst. They are actually quite common! These thin, segmented creatures can grow up to 30+ feet long inside the human body, quietly lurking in your intestines, draining your nutrients, and slowly making you their host.

It starts innocently enough: you might eat a piece of undercooked meat, non-sushi grade seafood, or even drink contaminated water.

You wouldn’t even know it at the time, because tapeworm larvae are microscopic, slipping into your system unnoticed.

Once inside you, they begin their horrifying transformation. The larvae latch onto the walls of your intestines with their hook-like mouths, feeding on everything you eat. As the days pass, they grow, longer and longer, stretching deep inside your body without you feeling a thing.

You might think tapeworms are just a gross but harmless nuisance, but they’re far more terrifying than that. In some cases, tapeworm larvae don’t stay in the intestines. They burrow into muscle, tissue, and even your brain. This condition, called neurocysticercosis, causes seizures, confusion, and in extreme cases, death.

Imagine something wriggling inside your skull, laying eggs, and feeding off your brain.

The scariest part? You often won’t know a tapeworm is there until it’s too late. The parasite can live inside you for years, sometimes decades, without any symptoms. You could be sitting here, reading this post, feeling fine! All while a tapeworm grows, twisting itself into your organs.

The tapeworm may already be a monstrous size, coiled tightly inside your intestines, feeding on you in ways you can’t control.

And if you think that’s the worst of it, think again. Tapeworms can sometimes trigger cravings as if the creature is making you eat more to sustain its own growth.

Some have reported feeling unusually hungry all the time, as if no matter how much they eat, it’s never enough. It’s as if the tapeworm’s hunger becomes your own, controlling you from the inside.

You cute little flesh puppet!!

So, the next time you think about eating that rare steak or drinking untreated water, remember: tapeworms are real, they’re silent, and they’re hungry.

I have a sudden craving to watch Tremors? .

Some real stats? Okay you got it

New England  Journal Of Medicine 2019:  Doctors report a remarkable medical case in which they had to remove a 6-foot-long tapeworm from a man's gut by pulling it through his mouth. The 48-year-old patient from India had been having stomach pains for two months prior to finally getting a colonoscopy. Doctors discovered a segment of a pork tapeworm, a common sign that a larger tapeworm is hiding elsewhere in the body. Dr. Cyriac Philips described it as the longest tapeworm he's ever seen.

2022: On an episode of the This Won't Hurt A Bit podcast, Dr. Kenny Banh revealed a patient ordeal best described as body horror on steroids. The California man pulled a shockingly large tapeworm from his body, which he may have contracted from drinking water, according to his doctors. The patient opened a bag and showed the staff a tapeworm wrapped around a toilet paper roll. The patient said that when he went to the bathroom, he at first thought his intestines were coming out of his body When the Dr. unraveled the worm from the roll and laid it out on paper towels, it came in at 5 feet 6 inches (1.7 meters) long. Which also happens to be the patient's height.

Skynews Tv:An Australian  woman battled hallucinations and incontinence for months after she ate a quick meal,  from a gas station. Doctors finally found the cause. four months after she ate the sushi, her body started to shut down.

It began with insomnia;  leaving her anxious and confused and feeling like her heart was “beating out of her neck”.Around the same time, She started having stomach cramps, feeling her stomach jiggle and shake before she went to the toilet. She told her husband it felt like a fish was “flapping around in her belly”.She tried essential oils, melatonin, and special tea to help her sleep but nothing worked. The woman then started hallucinating, seeing bugs crawling on the walls, and eventually seeing them crawling under her skin.

One night, losing complete sensation in her hands and feet, she passed out and started having a seizure. Her husband quickly called an ambulance and she was taken to the hospital. Doctors identified the tapeworm as diphyllobothrium latum one of the largest to infect humans. In her case tho, It wasn't one giant worm tho, its was 1000’s of them The species can grow up to 27ft long.
