This was the beginning visuals and fascination of post-mortem images. They are often recognized by the silver backlight, brownish tones and light almost sepia appearance of a hue. Everytime you have put a sepia filter on an image you have actually recreated a modern day homage Death Photo.
Death Photography has a lot of current realizations that have changed with facts over time, however one thing is still true it is one of the most faked "Vintage" images out on the market for sale and most are depictions of Women or Children/babies.
